What's the Opportunity?

Anchor QEA is seeking a full-time engineer to support our expanding site characterization / remediation activities. We are interested in a candidate that has the capacity to grow, is a quick learner, is detail-orientated, is a committed team player, and possesses strong written and verbal communication skills. This position will support environmental engineering projects involving upland and in-water sediment field investigations, feasibility studies and remedy design, source control evaluations, water quality assessments and compliance, and construction oversight. Successful candidates will have an opportunity to work on a variety of tasks of differing complexities, both independently and in team environments, learning directly from leaders in the industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop technical project work for small to medium-sized single-disciplined or multi-disciplined projects. Project examples include site characterization, hazardous waste/sediment remediation, environmental baseline assessments, environmental impacts, stormwater and drinking water compliance.
  • Assist with preparation of sampling and analysis plans, remedial investigation and feasibility study reports, and design documents, including technical specifications.
  • Assist with preparation of engineer's cost estimates and construction schedules for designs.
  • Task management, including team assignments and coordination, client interaction, and production of deliverables.
  • Develop construction planning documents and provide construction observations and management support.


What Are We Looking For?

Ideal candidates will have the following:

  • BS or MS degree in relevant engineering field (civil, environmental, chemical)
  • 0 to 2 years of relevant work experience as an Environmental, Remediation, or Civil Engineer conducting environmental investigations under CERCLA, RCRA, NEPA, CAA, CWA.
  • Experience planning and implementing field sampling, data analysis, feasibility studies, and remedial design.
  • Strong understanding of the application of engineering principles to engineering design, including cost estimating, development of plans and specifications, development of bid packages, development of dredge plans, and overseeing design implementation in the field (i.e., construction management).
  • Ability to pursue Professional Engineering (PE) licensure after requisite experience is obtained.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D experience a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills.
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification (CFR 1910.120).
  • Ability to travel for field and/or construction projects.

Salary and Other Compensation:

  • Salary Range: To be provided by HR
  • Annual Bonus
  • Other potential bonus types: Billable Time Bonus, Spot Bonus, Milestone Anniversary Bonus, Receiving Professional License/Certification Bonus, Peer-reviewed Publication Bonus, Employee Referral Bonus.


Base Level Benefits for Regular Full-Time Positions:
