Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Traffic EIT/Coordinator, we'll count on you to:

  • Assist on traffic engineering projects, exercise sound engineering judgment, and prepare Traffic Analysis Reports
  • Perform traffic analysis tasks, including development of future volumes, signal warrant analyses, deterministic analysis, mesoscopic and microscopic simulation
  • Coordinate design issues within the project team and with task leaders to develop solutions to technical challenges
  • Participate in work sessions in conjunction with other staff
  • Coordinate workload through entire project development, and ensure completion of tasks on schedule and within budge
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
  • EIT or ability to obtain, candidates hired without their EIT will be titled "Traffic Coordinator" until they obtain their EIT.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, presentation skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years of relevant experience
  • EIT strongly preferred.
  • Experience using HCS, Synchro/SimTraffic, Sidra, Vissim, Aimsun, and other traffic software packages preferred
  • Familiarity with using Microstation and other roadway design and CADD software
  • Experience with traffic studies, TMP development, traffic forecasting, traffic modeling and traffic analysis including a thorough knowledge of the Highway Capacity Manual, MUTCD, AASHTO Green Book.
