Summary

To support Joint Operations & Innovation team in strategy and analysis and informing the organization's program teams the impacts of decisions and efforts and their impact on the Program's financial performance. This role works closely with Program Leaders, Functional Teams, Finance, Accounting, and administrative functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for preparing, analyzing, and validating monthly reports.
  • Explain the variations between actual results and forecasts, and the required variance reporting for the monthly Financial Statements.
  • Support business unit analysis as needed (program or business unit level)
  • Support due diligence and acquisition efforts, including analysis of target forecasts and opportunities.
  • Prepare, update, and analyze financial models.
  • Take part in special projects according to the needs of the Finance team.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or equivalent related experience
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of either Program Finance or analyst position at a defense contractor.
  • Knowledge of standard accounting software, preferably Deltek and Cost Point
  • Experience in analysis of program performance using EVMS and or Agile methods and data
  • Works under little supervision to set objective for own job area.
  • Strong information system and PC skills
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, Power Point, Word, and Cognos. Primarily Excel with proficiencies in pivot tables & formulas
  • Knowledge of DOD Billing Methods
  • Knowledge of GAAP/IFRS/FAR/CAS
  • Communicates with contacts inside and outside own team to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures.
  • Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
  • Knowledge of Domo is a plus
  • Cost-Type contract accounting/analysis experience is a plus

Security Responsibilities

Must complywith all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

  • Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Work Environment

This job can operate in a professional office environment as hybrid or remote. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Ability to sit down for long lengths of time
