GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

You will provide guidance, support and coordinate effort of engine design, manufacturing, and test teams to progress towards comprehensive commercial flight engine certification.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Propose and agree with the Authorities the "Type-Certification Basis" and the method for demonstrating the compliance (Means of Compliance)
  • Lead the Certification Program (CP) definition by issuing the relevant documents.
  • Co-ordinate with the Authorities about all necessary actions for fulfilling the completion of the CP.
  • Manage the "Compliance Checklist".
  • Support execution of the certification program in terms of engine and component tests planning, analyses definition and teardowns/inspections planning.
  • Flow down regulatory requirements to design and systems communities.
  • Oversee support team in writing certification test plans and reports for FAA and EASA.
  • Having broad expertise or unique knowledge, uses skills to contribute to development of company objectives and principles and to achieve goals in creative and effective ways.
  • Works on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles.
  • Exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Creates formal networks involving coordination among groups.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a bacheloris degree; or a minimum of 8 years and a Master's degree; or a PHD with a minimum of 5 years experience.

  • Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, mouse, phones, rotating wrist, using tools/equipment)
