Shift Hours:

0.90 FTE (36 hours/week), Days Monday through Friday

Job Description:

As an advocate for the patient, the Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty Care assists patients to reach optimal function and health in an appropriate environment that would support their needs. The Clinic RN functions within the full scope of nursing practice adhering to the WI Nurse Practice Act, Administrative Code of the WI Board of Nursing and/or appropriate nursing standards governing nursing in the state of practice, the ANA Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice and, and Bellin Health Policies and Procedures. Position includes the major responsibilities of the essential job duties and to extend these responsibilities beyond the episode of care to encompass coordination of care across the continuum. With additional training, RN may also work in Device Clinic, Anticoagulation Clinic or stress testing following the guidelines and protocols under the guidance of the providers.

In this role the RN has the opportunity to accompany patients throughout their visit to the clinic; the RN will be a member of the rooming staff team and may participate in the patient visit through our team based care model and assist various heart and vascular specialty providers. Responsibilities include phlebotomy, performing EKGs, applying wearable cardiac monitors, patient teaching, preparing charts for visits, and assisting with team based care visits.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.

Wisconsin RN license required, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.

Two years of cardiac experience preferred.
