Primary Responsibilities

This position will work as a key member of a highway/roadway design team for moderate to large projects and work independently on smaller projects.

In the role of Transportation Project Manager, we'll count on you to:

  • Plan and manage all aspects of small to medium single-discipline projects
  • Independently coordinate work of engineers and balance planning team throughout entire project's development
  • Establish client relations and assist marketing, contractual, design and production meetings
  • Participate in reviews with various governing agencies
  • Conduct work sessions for design development and contract execution
  • Coordinate workload throughout entire project development, and ensure completion of documents on schedule and within budget
  • Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within agreed-to parameters
  • Work with Business/Accounting Leadership for project reviews
  • Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 7 years of related experience
  • 2 years of project management experience
  • Professional Engineer License or ability to obtain through reciprocity
  • Hands-on experience with Microstation, Open Roads, Geopak and/or Inroads
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word
  • Strong verbal and written skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP certification
  • Experience managing projects for DOT or Municipality
