HDR is currently seeking a Bridge CAD/BIM Designer to join our team in Denver. In the role of Bridge CAD/BIM Designer, we'll count on you to:

  • Prepare drawings, layouts, and sketches for conventional concrete and steel bridges, retaining walls, box culverts, and other miscellaneous structures.
  • Develop details for complex concrete and steel bridges which may include: prestressed concrete, cast-in-place concrete, steel plate girder, segmental, and cable-stayed.
  • Edit or maintain 3D models, both basic and parametric.
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently with direction from supervisor and engineers.
  • Comprehend and understand the things you are drawing or modeling.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree or technical school diploma, or combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in bridge engineering or related projects.
  • A working knowledge of Microstation and/or AutoCAD.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to deal with change in a positive manner.
  • Aptitude for problem-solving, including ability to gather, organize and interpret data.
  • Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with project team members.
  • Commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical school diploma in Engineering Technology.
  • Experience in creating 2D bridge plans from both 2D and 3D elements.
  • Experience with 3D CAD modeling in Microstation and/or AutoCAD.
  • Experience working with OpenBridge Modeler or other parametric 3D software.
  • Ability to interpret as-built plans for existing structures.
  • Ability to use Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Preference given to local candidates.

The expected compensation range for this position is $56,364.00 - $80,520.00 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.)
