At Aurora Flight Sciences, we design, build, and fly advanced aircraft and enabling technologies from concept to reality. We are searching for a talented and self-motivated Industrial Engineer to help us create the future of flight. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
- Productivity planning with accompanying future strategies for improvement.
- Production readiness assessment.
- CRP (capacity Resource Planning), staffing needs.
- Develop and maintain engineered time standards.
- Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing assembly processes, labor requirements, and production standards.
- Recommend methods for improving utilization of personnel, material, and utilities.
- Develop & maintain plant standards.
- Create/maintain value stream maps.
- Draft and design layout of equipment, materials, and work centers to optimize material flow, labor efficiency, safety, quality, productivity, and ergonomics.
- Recovery planning.
- Establish manpower requirements, line and sub-assembly balancing data, and expectancy time performances, (headcount) planning, and budgeting concepts.
- Plan, schedule and prioritize work to meet established deadlines.
- Determine/improve processes to meet production levels.
- Utilize Lean/Six Sigma principles and methodologies in making process improvements.
- Determining facilities layout requirements.
- Schedule/Sequence job plans (with ME approval) to support effective workflow.
- BS degree in Industrial Engineering or Industrial Engineering Technology from an accredited university (also will consider a Mechanical/Manufacturing/Aerospace Engineering degree with Industrial Engineering experience) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated ability to use software tools to support Industrial Engineering, Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, Visio, and PowerPoint.
- Must be a US Person.
- Experience utilizing ERP/MRP planning systems and bill of material interrogation for process planning.

- Must work onsite in Columbus, MS.
