Job Description

The M.C. Dean, Inc. Maritime Division works at shipyards around the world from our regional offices in Chesapeake, VA, and San Diego, CA. Become a key member of our Alteration Installation Teams, supporting C4ISR system installations on ships and submarines. Abilities:

* The use of website to research and determine parts and material information

* Negotiating to obtain competitive pricing

* Inspecting and receiving materials and equipment

* Preparing materials for shipment and storage

* Tracking material orders and shipments

* Advance use of computerized inventory system

* Complying with requirements to handle hazardous materials

* Warehouse planning and management

* Operating a forklift

* Determining and maintaining inventory levels

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience:2 Years

Physical Requirements and Safety Certifications:

* Occupation Safety Haz-Mat

* Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

* Safely Lift and Move Objects of up to 50 LBS

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and may meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information; eligibility for a DoDclearance is require.

Abilities:

  • Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction.
  • Have finger dexterity in order to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard.
  • Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
  • Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
  • Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
  • Identify and understand the speech of another person.
