SUMMARY

Oversees the forecasting and demand planning activities for the Sales Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) process. Responsible for developing, managing and driving consensus around the demand plan. Reports to the SIOP Manager and works cross-functionally to support the overall operations planning and control process.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

May include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Responsible for the development and communication of the demand plan through the monthly SIOP process through collaboration with the sales, marketing, product management teams.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the organization to ensure buy-in and alignment on the demand plan
  • Responsible for communicating the monthly demand plan to all business functional areas through the SIOP process
  • Utilizes the demand planning process to develop and maintain a long-term 5-year demand plan that supports the strategic objectives of the organization
  • Executes all quantitative and qualitative forecasting activities resulting in the demand plan
  • Creates statistical forecast through different quantitative methods at various levels of aggregation for comparison and to determine best-fit forecasting model
  • Performs correlation analysis on major leading indicators that affect demand in key markets
  • Works cross-functionally to resolve demand and supply prioritization in a constrained environment
  • Implements a demand dashboard for data visualization and assumptions gathering during the demand review meetings
  • Standardizes demand planning activities and data analytics to support the SIOP process
  • Implements and tracks forecast error metrics to determine if adjustments are needed to both the quantitative or qualitative inputs, or overall forecasting methodology
  • Performs product mix forecast and SKU level trend analysis
  • Coordinates all demand planning activities to support the annual budget process resulting in the annual business plan
  • Supports the design, implementation and enhancement of the Company's planning system solution as part of the supply chain digital strategy
  • Utilizes change management methodologies to drive organizational change

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field
  • 7+ years of supply chain and demand management experience
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with ability to develop concepts and actionable plan
  • Proficient computer skills in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, Power BI
  • Proficient with MRP experience required
  • ASCM/APICS certification is preferred
  • Experience with ERP Systems with SAP S/4HANA preferred
  • Experience with SIOP/IBP software platforms (Arkieva, John Galt, Kinexis) preferred
  • Able to multi-task and display a high level of company/team spirit in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Be able to travel to sites as needed (up to 25% travel)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as normally based in an office. Some of the work may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc. May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators. Travel including air travel or auto travel may occasionally be required.
