The Opportunity:

Embry-Riddle is now hiring a Veterans Program Coordinator at the Daytona Beach campus. The Veterans Program Coordinator is part of the Veteran Student Services (VSS) team. The incumbent will serve as school certifying official, program manager, and provide operational and administrative support services to the VSS staff, as well as hundreds of military-affiliated students across the University. Responsibilities will include general office duties such as managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and providing coverage at the VSS service desk when needed. The incumbent will also be responsible for providing support in planning and coordinating VSS events and workshops, and producing communication and marketing materials in conjunction with VSS staff. Other duties will include assisting with VSS social media updates.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma (or GED equivalent) required. Some college preferred.
  • Must possess a valid Florida driver's license and must meet the University's standards for approved drivers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, and proofreading skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be available to work occasionally on Saturdays and evenings as needed at events and workshops on and off campus.
  • Must possess a high degree of analytical skill in order to evaluate information and make decisions that will affect VA educational benefits usage, and students' opportunities and success at the University.
  • Attention to detail, organizational, and communications skills. Multiple tasks must be prioritized to meet schedules and deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Veteran status and two years of related work experience are preferred.
