Job/Internship Description

The Origination Intern will work as a key member of the Origination team and will be responsible for assisting in go/no-go decisions and ENGIE's response strategy to RFP requests. In addition to having exceptional writing skills, this individual will be extremely organized, results driven, and able to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment. This person will be a critical piece of the ENGIE Distributed Solar and Storage Team and will function as a key support specialist for the group. This person will have plenty of opportunities to apply creative solutions to problems and to think strategically.

What you'll do:

  • Work with policy and finance teams to understand new incentives/market mechanisms and how to market to customers
  • Introduce customer to ENGIE capabilities and best way to optimize for customer solutions
  • Assess customer needs and proposes offerings to meet and/or exceed these needs
  • Assist site evaluations for potential customers
  • Contribute to opportunity go/no-go decision making
  • Delegate tasks in Salesforce and other responsibilities in association with proposal processes
  • Work with other ENGIE organizations and companies on best practices and coordinating efforts
  • Assist with financial modeling and pricing updates
  • Help organize RFP response documentation
  • Maintain stock RFP language, including team member bios, resumes, case studies, and org charts, and updates as required
  • Assist gathering of COI's, organization of financials and other requested information
  • Assist and continually updates ENGIE CRM for opportunities
  • Assist development and project management team on developing awarded projects
  • Utilize Toolbase reporting for prospected RFP's
  • Assist with folder structure/organization
  • Assist with contract inputs
Qualifications

What you bring:

  • Enrolled in four (4) year program for bachelor's degree in business, sustainability, or related field
  • A minimum of six (6) months applicable work/internship experience
  • Ability to collaborate across departments within the company and with external customers
  • A proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills, Publisher is preferred
  • Experience operating with high energy and flexibility in a fast-paced, dynamic and entrepreneurial environment
  • Experience within the Renewable Energy or Sustainability Industry

  • Must be eligible to work for any U.S. employer without the need for sponsorship now or in the future
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license/clean driving record
  • Must have the ability to travel domestically and internationally on limited occasions
  • Must be willing and able to comply with ENGIE's policy with respect to COVID vaccination and testing
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is not exposed to weather conditions
  • Ability to meet highest attendance requirements
