ENGIE is hiring a Business Development Intern responsible for supporting ENGIE's Major Partnerships, Commercial & Industrial team to concentrate on the process of identifying and evaluating new business partnerships. The successful candidate will work closely with ENGIE's business development team to focus on performing market research, generating potential customer leads, and identifying and analyzing trends from within select Industrial sectors, Health Care systems and Airports. In this role, the candidate should have an interest in obtaining practical experience working on business development strategy, research, financial modeling, proposal development, customer engagement content development, and marketing in the energy industry.

What you'll do:

  • Collaborate with business unit leaders and business developers to execute market research, identify and analyze trends, and source potential customers based on a variety of business factors
  • Identify potential industrial customers that have a focus on sustainability and may be good candidates for a long-term partnership
  • Provide comparative analysis for potential customers, compare statistics, energy use, size, and scope of customers to existing customers to identify similarities and differences
  • Recommend potential networking groups, events, conferences, and related events to drive customer engagement, build industry presence and reach key leaders within the industry
  • Collect data and present relevant analytical results to senior leadership to impact business development strategy
  • Participate in conference calls with consultant firms and contributing independent researched data
  • Assess end audience (customer or managerial) expectations and requirements and develop relevant targeted material to meet that expectation; iterating as needed translating Partnerships' message to meet marketing and communications needs as they arise
  • Optimize existing material and develop templates for distribution and publication
Qualifications

What you bring:

  • Must be a student at Georgetown University
  • Minimum 2 years completed course work within Business, Marketing, Communications, or similar program
  • Prefer GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Junior or Senior candidates preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to meet highest attendance requirements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative
  • Comfortable in startup atmosphere with high degree of autonomy
  • Demonstrated success working remotely with other remote staff
  • Ability to use personal computer, Microsoft office, etc
