Primary Responsibilities
At HDR you will utilize your electrical engineering skills and knowledge on a wide variety of projects, including commercial office buildings, healthcare, justice, higher education, and data centers. There are additional opportunities to work on federal, industrial water, community improvement, sustainability, and emergency power projects.

In the role of Senior Electrical Engineer, you will have an opportunity to take an active role in leading project design, establishing client relationships, mentoring junior staff, and coordinating design development with multidiscipline teams. There are opportunities in project management and as a subject matter expert in a specific area(s) of electrical design.



Required Qualifications

  • Ability to work collaboratively with and lead a team of young engineers, EITs, and BIM staff.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Master's in Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis
  • Registered professional engineer
  • Extensive knowledge of building electrical power design
  • Strong computer knowledge of Microsoft Office and electrical design software such as SKM or Easypower.
  • Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm
  • An attitude and commitment to be an active participant of our employee-owned culture

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10 years' experience in electrical design of buildings
  • Familiarity with Revit MEP is desired
  • Previous project or client management experience
  • Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not required
