What you will be responsible for:

THE ROLE

Supports the ESG Integration and Stewardship team by offering administrative, voting, client, and engagement support.


WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Partners with the ESG Integration team and Stewardship team to perform a variety of administrative and specialized duties, many of which are complex in nature.
  • Administrative responsibilities
    • Understands and anticipates the team's business needs; works proactively and creatively to meet those needs while following department procedures and guidelines.
    • Independently works to streamline and minimize administrative burden on the team.
    • Understands and masters all department systems, databases and research tools to ensure smooth and efficient department operations.
    • Organizes travel for conferences, client meetings and processes expense requests in a timely manner.
    • Consistently works to improve department processes and procedures to ensure efficiency.
  • ESG integration and stewardship team responsibilities:
    • Gathers research/data for a variety of projects, including client responses and presentations.
    • Daily monitoring of votes to review votes potentially cast against our voting policies. Review alerts of supplemental filings regarding impending votes.
    • Responsible for vote recordkeeping
    • Track and fulfill client requests which includes documenting all outstanding client/consultant requests and deadlines as well as fulfilling ad hoc client requests for reports.
    • Manage engagement mailbox, respond to inquiries and requests, conduct preliminary assessment of companies who have reached out to engage, and track certain data required for reporting
    • Project based analysis of engagement and integration related data, sourcing of data to support projects.
    • Manage agenda of weekly team meetings as well as follow-ups
    • Minute taking for internal and external meetings in relation to Stewardship and ESG integration

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of one year of experience in stewardship/voting and/or as an administrative assistant
  • Demonstrated interest in environmental, social and corporate governance issues
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Outlook and Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Flexible and team oriented
