Job Description

About Us

At HDR, we specialize in engineering, architecture, environmental and construction services. While we are most well-known for adding beauty and structure to communities through high-performance buildings and smart infrastructure, we provide much more than that. We create an unshakable foundation for progress because our multidisciplinary teams also include scientists, economists, builders, analysts and artists.

That's why we believe diversity is our greatest strength. HDR is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and an affirmative action employer.

Watch Our Story:

We believe that the way we work can add meaning and value to the world. That ideas inspire positive change. That coloring outside the lines can illuminate fresh perspectives. And that small details yield important realizations. Above all, we believe that collaboration is the best way forward.

HDR currently has an opening for a Federal Regional Quality Manager with the skills and desire to help support our nationally recognized Federal Business Group. The location of this position is flexible with the requirement to be in the East Region (east of the Mississippi River) but the preference is to be located in Charlotte, NC. The Federal Regional Quality Manager will primarily be focused on helping our project teams schedule and conduct quality control (QC) reviews on their design deliverables in accordance with HDR's Quality Management System and client designated processes and procedures. Given that project team members are often spread across multiple offices, and in the interest of efficiency, the desire is to maximize use of Bluebeam Revue software as the primary means to facilitate and coordinate QC reviews. The ideal candidate will have previous experience utilizing this program (or equivalent) to allow the effective and efficient identification, correction, and reconciliation of QC comments on design deliverables. Finally, the ideal candidate will also have sufficient technical background to conduct an interdisciplinary, holistic QC review on design deliverables to identify items that may not have been caught by the individual technical disciplines.
