The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida invites applications for a non-tenure track faculty position in all areas of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science to start in January 2023 or August 2023. The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching a variety of courses in support of the department's undergraduate and graduate programs in electrical and computer engineering, software engineering, systems engineering, or computer science. Regular teaching load for non-tenure track faculty is four courses per semester. Academic service responsibilities are also expected.

The department is home to anNSF RED(Revolutionizing Engineering Departments) award exploring agile frameworks in academia, with the goal of making our department more responsive to student, industry, and community needs. All faculty in the department are expected to participate in the RED award activities as part of their service responsibilities. The department is also home to two NSF prestigious scholarship programs: CyberCorps SFS and S-STEM, which are excellent recruiting and incentivizing vehicles for our students.

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field, and be committed to teaching excellence. Experience in aerospace, aviation, defense, software engineering, and related industries is valued. Consideration of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
