Casual Part Time working 2 days/week Monday - Friday; flexible start time as early as 5:30 am
After graduation, the position will be full time (32, 36, or 40 hours/week); PMs variable start times (Monday - Friday between 10:30 am - 12:30 pm), call rotation (1 weekend every 8-10 weeks and 1 holiday per year), shifts are 8 hours/day
Eligible up to $10,000 Sign On Bonus for BSN and $5,000 for ADNJob Description:Under the direct supervision of an RN: Responsible for providing quality care and monitoring of patients. Maintains safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors; maintains properly functioning equipment and availability of equipment, supplies and drugs. Assists physicians; informs physicians of relevant information; provides support to families. Participates in an assistance capacity to RN, but cannot perform the functions of assessment and evaluation in their entirety. The position of Student Nurse Technician will only be available up to six months from the date of graduation.
This position will transition from a Student Nurse Tech to a full time RN with the Surgery Department after graduation.Qualifications:Transcripts or verification from appropriate college indicating school status or copy of diploma required. Must meet one of the following requirements: RN student entering senior year of Bachelor of Science Nursing (BSN); RN student entering final semester of content for Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) program; Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) student who is entering the final semester of content for the LPN program; student who has graduated from an accredited nursing program but does not hold a Wisconsin temporary RN or LPN license.
