We are seeking an exceptional Project Remediation Engineer with at least 7 years of experience, to help grow our contaminated site assessment and remediation practices in Lakewood, Greenwood Village, Lafayette, or Colorado Springs, Colorado. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparing site assessment reports, developing site conceptual models, performing remedial alternative evaluations, preparing remedial design, and costing, and installing remedies (including operation and optimization).
  • Vapor intrusion investigations, mitigation system designs, and system operation and maintenance (including data evaluation and report writing).
  • Task and project management, including planning and implementing investigation and remediation projects, budgeting and budget management, adherence to schedule, quality, client satisfaction, and profitability.
  • Data analysis, including support of preparing maps and figures using GIS/Environmental Visualization Software (EVS) applications, and database management.
  • Review and manage written document production.
  • Management and mentoring of junior staff and managing subcontractors.
  • Prepare for and participate in meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other parties.
  • At times, job may also include fieldwork including multi-media environmental sampling, sediment sampling and characterization, drilling oversight, contractor oversight, and remediation system operations, maintenance, and construction.
  • Business development; including bringing in new clients and obtaining repeat business from existing clients, leading proposal preparation, and developing and implementing a business development plan.

Based on your current level of experience, you may be asked to take on task-level or project management responsibilities, along with business development, and staff management and mentoring tasks.

Here are some other things you should know about this position:

  • Training: This position requires OSHA/MSHA health and safety, first aid, and CPR training and medical monitoring, paid for by the firm. We also offer professional development opportunities including technical conferences, in-house seminars, webinars, and mentoring, that allow our professionals to build the technical and business skills necessary to become successful consultants.
  • Fieldwork: Up to 25%
  • Overnight travel: Up to 25%

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, chemical, or environmental) (required)
  • Advanced degree in engineering (civil, chemical, or environmental). (preferred)
  • Professional registration. (P.E.) (required)

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 7 years of direct environmental consulting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
  • Experience with CDPHE, Colorado OPS, and USEPA regulations. (required)
  • Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams. (required)
  • Demonstrated success in the development and management of clients. (required)
  • Proven leadership skills. (required)
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. (required)
  • Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers. (preferred)
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)

Below is the range that we in good faith believe is the potential compensation for this role at the time of this posting and is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. The typical base salary range for this position is just one component of Geosyntec's total compensation package for employees. Actual compensation will be determined based on education, experience, skill set and location.

  • Minimum Salary: $96,000.00
  • Maximum Salary: $125,000.00
