Job Description

Instrument Excellence Responsibilities:

• Instrument system improvement projects.
• P&ID development/revisions, Control strategy, Estimating, Schedule coordination.
• Liaison with vendors, contractor engineers and maintenance.
• Instrument specification and selection (level, pressure, temperature, flow, PSV & PSD, etc.).
• Construction Package Design, including location plans, termination drawings, installation details, scope definition, I/O lists, Instrument lists.
• In depth knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.

• Utility analysis, scope development, estimating.
• Liaison with vendors, contractor engineers and maintenance.
• Electrical specification and selection (Lighting, MCC, Capacitor, VFD, etc.).
• Electrical design, startup, and troubleshooting (Lighting, MCC, Danfoss and Allen Bradley VFD, Motor controls, Area classification analysis).
• Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA 70E, NEC, etc.

• Act as liaison with the site's construction coordinator, assisting with installation problems.
• Loop checking, equipment set-up, program downloading, megger testing, loop tuning, troubleshooting and assisting with start-up.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent people skills - Customer focused.
• Ability to successfully work with all plant personnel.

• Scope development, project estimation, project paper development, cost control and reporting.
• Procurement: project scheduling, change order review/control/ execution.
• Developing and writing applicable specifications.
• Experience with SAP Project Module and other basic SAP transactions very desirable.

• Candidate will possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 10 years' experience as an Electrical Engineer providing E&I design and support.
