Railroad Bridge Project Engineer - Denver, CO

We have an exciting career opportunity for a Structural Project Engineer to join our talented and growing railroad team in Denver, CO. As a Structural Railroad Project Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on various railroad structural design projects by performing basic analysis of project elements and developing and designing calculations.

The Impact You Will Have:
  • Performing basic analysis of project elements
  • Performing load development and designing calculations of project elements, and checking work
  • Preparing organized structural calculations
  • Designing and drafting structural elements and details
  • Developing task deliverables in a complete and reviewable manner
  • Performing tasks on schedule and within budget as assigned
  • Working independently under the guidance of a Project Manager
What We Are Looking For:
  • BS in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis or related discipline required. MS in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis or related discipline preferred.
  • PE License or ability to obtain through reciprocity.
  • Minimum of 5 years of bridge design experience
  • Experience working with Class 1 Railroads preferred.
  • Excellent communication and client relation skills.
  • Progressive experience with developing plans and specifications utilizing Microstation
  • Strong organization and leadership skills with a track record for adhering to design budgets and schedules.
  • Ability to perform complex analysis and design
  • Ability to assemble a complete design package for assigned elements or projects
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Compensation Range:

$37.00 to $57.00/hr.

The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on numerous factors, including but not limited to individual education, qualifications, prior work experience, and geographic location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary, overtime, and bonuses.
