Primary Responsibilities

The primary duties of the Water/Wastewater EIT/Coordinator include creating detailed designs of water and wastewater treatment systems, distribution systems and collection systems under instruction from the Project Engineer. More specific responsibilities include preparing plans for water and wastewater systems, calculations, writing specifications, analysis and study-level reports for water and wastewater treatment distribution and collection systems, determining appropriate design methods, equipment sizing and selection and working directly with the owner. Conducts quality control reviews of completed designs. Should be familiar with water and wastewater treatment processes and technologies.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Civil, Environmental or Mechanical Engineering
  • 0 years of experience
  • Interest or experience designing water/ wastewater treatment facilities, distribution systems, and collection systems
  • Microsoft Office experience required
  • Must be able to work in a team environment and have good communication skills
  • Must be a self starter and able to solve problems
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
  • Preference will be given to local candidates

Preferred Qualifications:

  • EIT certification strongly preferred. Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of "Coordinator" and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression
  • MS preferred
  • GIS experience preferred
