Overview

GD-OTS is looking for a Human Resources Training Specialist to join our Lincoln, NE organization. We are expanding rapidly and looking for motivated and creative individuals who want to help support and shape this organization as we grow.

GD-OTS provides reliable and affordable composite products to the defense and commercial aerospace markets. With more than 50 years of expertise, General Dynamics designs, develops, manufactures and tests a full range of composite missile and space structures, including; rocket motors, pressure vessels, launch tubes and fuel tanks.

Major Position Responsibilities
    Develop the Departmental Training Program
  • Succession Planning
  • Process Specific Curriculum
  • Certification Criteria
  • Certification Cadence
  • Calendar of Events (Training Cadence)
  • Develop and Monitor Cross-Training Plan/Matrix
  • Evaluate training effectiveness.
  • Conduct Survey on Training Needs
  • Help in Developing Training Budget
  • Directly Responsible for Administrative Training (Windchill, Sharepoint, etc...)
  • Direct structured learning experiences (monitored simulations and problem-solving scenarios)
  • Meet with managers and supervisors to ascertain needs
  • Develop, organize, conduct and evaluate training programs with SME's when necessary
  • Hold meetings and presentations on learning material
  • Plan, organize, and implement a range of training activities
  • Conduct orientation sessions to assess level of skills
  • Assist Employees in Defining Development Path and Coordinating Departmental Support
  • Train Trainers on Training/Coaching Competency
  • Provide Ad-Hoc training in response to Corrective Action Needs
  • Modify training programs
  • Design apprenticeship programs
  • Coordinate the Creation of interactive, multimedia presentations
  • Hold workshops and lectures
  • Organize and Maintain Training Materials
  • Writing Scripts for Video Training
  • Coordinate the Distribution and Completion of Training Sheets
Basic Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience. Must have at least (3) years relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Strong computer skills, proficiency in MS Office applications are required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work well with a diverse employee population.
