We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to join our growing team as the Architectural Specialty Leader for Brown and Caldwell. In this role you will collaborate with other National Practice and Specialty Leaders of the Design Services Enterprise with a focus to develop and maintain the technical strategic vision for Brown and Caldwell's Architecture Discipline. In this role, you will develop technical aspects associated with Architectural Design Standards and Design Guidelines as well as to develop and help implement the vision to take advance our Architectural capabilities. The responsibilities of this position also include managing group workload, hiring and project assignments, as well as providing mentoring and performance feedback for group employees. Detailed Description:

  • Direct the development of the discipline technical standards and oversee their maintenance and implementation.
  • Oversee the selection of delivery tools to support the discipline.
  • Approval of the architectural labor resources (i.e. hiring, spot bonuses, merit, locations of hiring, balance of grade levels).
  • Oversee the professional development of architectural resources.
  • Advise on architectural staff performance management.
  • Direct architectural QC efforts.
  • Direct architectural BD efforts.
  • Oversee various aspects of architectural design, including conceptual design studies, development of program requirements, schematic design, design development and construction documents.
  • Preparation of marketing and client presentation materials
  • Ability to conceptualize and represent initial design ideas using 3D software
  • Conduct research on building materials and building codes nationally.
  • Ensure the timely and efficient delivery of high-quality design project to our clients.
  • Ability to work productively and cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Must be outgoing, confident, and team-oriented with strong written and communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate and execute Navisworks model walkthroughs.
  • Develop and maintain architectural project files and standard details.
  • Assist with coordinating and resolving construction issues.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • A four-year degree (BS in Architecture) or five-year degree (BA in Architecture) from an accredited school of architecture.
  • 15 years' experience preferred
  • Registered Architect with ability to acquire licensing within additional states within one year as needed.
  • Proficiency in REVIT, AutoCAD Architecture, Navisworks, and Sketchup/Formit.
  • Knowledge of construction documents, with an understanding of construction technology, sustainable design and building systems.
  • Knowledge of building codes and national standards.
  • Passion for design excellence, collaboration and willingness to learn.
  • Knowledge and experience using Power Point and Photoshop.
  • Experience with architectural modeling, detailing and drawing production.
  • LEED and Envision credentials or willingness to obtain such credentials are desired.

Colorado Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $151,000 to $208,000 annually and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education.
