Job Title: Residential Loan Consultant

Department: Residential Lending

Reports To: VP, Residential Lending

Grade Level: Exempt, $35,000 Salary plus Commissions

Location: Saratoga Springs, NY (Not Remote)


SUMMARY:

Solicits new business and expands the business of current customers by selling mortgage products. The Residential Mortgage Consultant will develop relationships with attorneys, developers, and real estate brokers to generate new mortgage business. Handles complex mortgages that involve larger loan amounts. Applicants must be willing to perform all necessary job functions and uphold all customer confidentiality. Duties and expectations are that this individual will be outside the office/bank meeting clients face-to-face.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


Analysis of financial statements, credit reports, appraisals and all related loan documentation.
Responsible for interviewing applicant, taking applications, and making underwriting recommendations. Serves as a principle point of contact for the customer should they need assistance while their loan is in processing.
Attend local trade shows, open houses, and realtor functions as a representative of The Adirondack Trust Company.
*Some of these functions may require evenings or weekend hours.

*Other duties may be assigned.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:


Bachelor's Degree in Business is preferred.

Previous residential lending experience preferred.

Strong interpersonal relationship skills and the demonstration of effective listening and communication abilities are highly recommended.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with customers, co-workers, and outside bank personnel.
Communicate Orally.
Normal daily physical activities to include: walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling.
Must be able to read reports and use computer.
Occasionally will lift 20-30 pounds (files, cash drawer, etc.)
