Job Description:To design and code computer scripts in support of the Computational Life Science and Biology Center in the Oden Institute for Computational Engineering and Sciences with Dr. Ron Elber.

The Oden Institute is an organized research unit that fosters interdisciplinary programs in computational sciences and engineering, computational medicine, computational geosciences, mathematical modeling, applied mathematics, data science, software engineering, and computational visualization.Responsibilities
To design and code computer scripts in python that interface general Molecular Dynamics simulation programs, to other codes enabling statistical analyses.
To develop and assist group members in using python script to conduct molecular dynamics simulations.
Provide feedback to the simulation programs.
Other related functions as assigned.
Experience in python programming. Experience in Molecular Dynamics simulations. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. One year of experience in systems analysis, design and programming..
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.Preferred Qualifications
One year of experience in python programming. Experience in computational biology laboratory. Knowledge in structural biology or computational biophysics.Salary Range
$50,000 + depending on qualificationsWorking Conditions
Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation
May work in standard office conditions. Initial work under pressure to complete a prototype. Follow up work will include maintenance and further developments under lower pressure.
