Job Description

Applicant will perform the following:

  • Specifically assigned duties relative to the fuel handling operations, transfers, dismantling, examining, and testing reactor fuel components or associated materials.
  • Specifically assigned duties relative to the operations of the equipment required for receipt, discharge, loading, examination, testing, dismantling, or refurbishment of nuclear components and associated hardware.
  • Specifically assigned duties relative to the operation of the equipment required for the cask receipt, discharge, loading, and shipment.
  • Specifically assigned duties relative to installation and removal of equipment components and waste to support water pool and hot cell operations and other nuclear product line initiatives.
Required Skills

High school graduate plus two years of college or completion of a two year vocational program or equivalent, preferably in a mechanical program

OR

Four years of minimal experience in the NNPP Program

Preferred Skills

The successful candidate must be highly motivated, be a self starter, a critical thinker, the ability to self reflect and learn from mistakes and have ability to work effectively with organizations outside the Operations department.

All candidates must be U.S. citizens. Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified matter. Federal regulation requires FMP test for marijuana.
