What you will be responsible for:

Candidate will be responsible for the development and execution of automated tests to ensure the highest possible product quality. The candidate will work closely with manual testers, business systems analysts, and developers to ensure that a product is fully tested and ready for release.
This role goes beyond creating automated scripts to include understanding the test coverage and any gaps in coverage. The individual is able to supplement existing test cases and add steps to increase coverage where appropriate. This person will be responsible for architecting and analyzing automated functional scripts.


PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts for MFS applications.
  • Work with business systems analysts, developers, and internal clients from initial design specification through development, implementation, and maintenance phases to ensure applications meet requirements.
  • Oversee offshore team work.
  • Provide time estimate for projects.
  • Act as project leader on larger quality assurance tasks and consult in resolving any issues.
  • Create formal reports and presentations for key stakeholders.
  • Actively look for process improvement ideas for the Automation Team, Global Investment Technology, and MFS to help create great culture and a one team approach.


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of 7 years software test automation experience with 4 of them in Unified Functional Tester (UFT) and/or Selenium
  • Must have experience with Client/Server, .NET, and WebSphere applications.
  • Comfortable with the Expert View in UFT and experience with descriptive programming.
  • Familiarity with object oriented programming language(s).
  • Must be able and willing to learn a new test tool
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to understand user needs and the overall project environment to establish prioritization of problems and solutions.
  • Ability to work effectively with others to solve complex problems.
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Financial services industry experience preferred.
