We have a fantastic opportunity for a Reliability Engineer be a part of our maintenance and reliability team. In this role, you will provide technical assistance to the maintenance supervision in the repair and improvement of all process equipment throughout the plant.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May include, but are not limited to, the following:
Develop and improve maintenance procedures for repair of equipment.
Perform equipment failure analysis (i.e. root cause analysis) to determine and correct equipment problems and prevent reoccurrence.
Develop and utilize metrics to identify issues, prioritize efforts to develop solutions, and justify spending on improvements.
Use industry accepted asset reliability methodologies to improve overall uptime of process equipment.
Follow equipment repair in shops to ensure timely and proper repair.
Actively participate in process improvement programs such as Six Sigma, etc.
Participates in the PACE culture of safety and demonstrates strong safety culture through personal behavior and commitment to environmental, health & safety.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is required (PE, CMRP, API 510 certifications a plus).
Experience in maintenance/reliability work in the petrochemical industry.
Significant experience with rotating and stationary equipment
Knowledge of pumps, seals, shop processes, ASME code, corrosion, metallurgy, turbines, centrifugal compressors and fans, and lubrication is required
Familiar with OSHA's process safety management standard regarding mechanical integrity.
Excellent computer skills, with proficiency in MS Office; should also have a working knowledge of a CMMS database program.
Excellent communication skills and problem-solving ability
Strong work planning and organizational skills required
Self-motivated. Able to work independently and as a team player.
Willing and able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC).
