Job Description

The Marketing Operations Database Specialist supports the Marketing Operations Manager with database mgmt. projects and program execution across internal teams while also providing our Clients with exceptional service. In this role, the Marketing Operations Database Specialist is accountable for the tactical execution of campaigns; the development and creation of tracking (URL's/vanity set-ups) for multiple channels including: DM, Email, Search, Banners, Print, OOH, and Social.

Campaign Launch Execution, Processing & Database Management

  • Facilitate internal team coordination on DB tasks/program deliverables
  • Assist in the execution of DB set-ups based with cross-teams
  • Assist with program coding to deploy Client lead gen & direct response campaigns
  • Demonstrate experience with GA tools and processes; SF knowledge a plus+
  • Telemarketing, mobile communications, direct mail, and email experience a big plus+
  • Perform Quality Assurance prior to campaign launch/activation
  • Provide task schedules and manage status to adhere to timelines & deadlines
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of data in Masterfiles and other support documents utilized internally
  • Assist with campaign set up and list pulls; via current database system and other available tools

Campaign Delivery & Performance

  • Build and execute trackable assets in a timely and accurate manner
  • Ensure that the National & Local strategies are in-synch and support the Client's overall business objectives
  • Support the operational and data-related requirements and processing for tracking requests
  • Monitor campaign activity to identify any potential risks; elevate as needed
  • Monitor program performance to proactively identify issues for resolution


  • Coordinate the execution of marketing programs and/or fulfillment with direct mail, e-mail, web, telemarketing channels
  • Review and perform quality assurance on all vendor-supplied inputs/outputs to the marketing database
  • Run database queries and provide counts & reports; as needed
  • Working knowledge of marketing databases, process management, and marketing program execution (including direct mail & digital landscape)
  • Job will result in waves of work; must be flexible with time management and willing to put in additional time when needed/necessary to meet internal & Client deadlines
  • General administrative tasks as needed with regards to billing, invoicing & TPP preparation
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing/Advertising or equivalent experience
  • 1-2 years in direct mail environment, with data flow-oriented responsibilities
  • 1 year experience working with Marketing Databases and/or Marketing related systems
  • Superior attention to detail and follow up skills are needed
  • Strong organizational, communication and presentation skills
  • Problem-Solver; Strong Leader; Team Player; Process Driven
  • Intermediate skills in the use of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Self-starter who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced heavily-process driven work environment
  • Able to work independently as well as with a team to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
  • Experience in Marketing Operations or Campaign Management (execution, not strategic) processes is a plus+
  • Experience working with a GOV Client and/or GOV-related systems is a plus+
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, SF and Vendor Management a plus
