Job Title: Mechanic

Job Summary:

The Mobile Equipment Mechanic will perform as a skilled mechanic in the inspection, maintenance, repair of Mobile Equipment. Follow all safety guidelines and provide for the safety of customers, employees and other persons any time they are on or in company property, remove mobile equipment from service and ensure Mobile equipment is not returned to service until malfunction has been properly diagnosed and repaired; utilizes appropriate tooling, equipment and material to accomplish maintenance functions including but not limited to the following: inspections, troubleshooting, repairing, removing and replacing components on Mobile Equipment.

Essential Duties:

Responsible for ensuring equipment uptime by quick in-depth trouble shooting and repair of Mobile equipment failures.

Qualifications:

• Must have high school diploma or G.E.D
• Possess the ability to use the English language to communicate (both verbally and in writing) accurately and concisely on technical matters to external and internal customers
• Have a valid Driver's License CDL is a Plus
• Verifiable three (3) years industrial and/or commercial maintenance work
• Basic troubleshooting and repair gas and diesel engines, automatic/manual transmissions and drive trains, hydraulic systems, battery operated equipment and related components
• Ability to change light and heavy duty tires and wheels, work independently
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to demonstrate proficiency in all of the above areas
• Ability to stoop, bend, manipulate tools in small spaces
• Perform work at heights
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move varied objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Preferred experience

• 2 to 3 years Mobile Fleet repair experience
• CDL Class A driver's license

Working Environment & Physical Demands

• Occasional lifting of items weighting a maximum of 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb stairwells up to 15 levels high.
• Ability to ascend and descend ladders (step, extension, cage) up to 24' high.
• Able to walk at a normal pace for up to 15 continuous minutes.
• Able to work from a standing position for 8-12 hours.
• Ability to twist and bend on a recurring basis.
• Weather conditions that can be expected are wet, humid, heat and cold, bright/dim light, traffic, heights, dusts, and pollen.
• The job requires normal visual acuity, field vision, hearing, speaking, color perception, sense of smell, depth perception, and texture perception.
• Some environments are in a high noise and vibrating area.
