This role manages client relationships and all aspects of technology delivery and support for the business primarily focused on the human capital management business partners, including overall responsibility for IT delivery and value realization. This position partners with the business for innovative opportunities, solution evaluations and confirms solution requirements. Leads end to end solution delivery within time and budget constraints. This position works closely with their assigned business teams for planning, delivery and sustainment of deployed solutions. Key capabilities will be the ability to work with/influence senior leaders, manage budgets and deliver on projects.

The Director, IT Delivery is responsible for managing large teams including both direct and indirect reporting relationships within the Human Capital Management space. Additionally, this role may have overall responsibility for more than one functional area.

Core Responsibilities
    Serves as the business relationship linkage between the business units and IT, at multiple levels including the executive level.
  • Manages and communicates across executive levels of the organization to ensure alignment on decisions, priorities, and relevant project information to appropriate levels of staff regarding business unit requests, projects and initiatives.
  • Focus on communication and alignment with C-Suite for strategic roadmap and initiatives
  • Owns defining strategic initiatives and plans, proactive, anticipatory, and driving in nature and provides significant value to business units.
  • Responsible for the planning and execution of business changes through the use of technology.
  • Oversees prioritization and delivery of solutions for area(s) of ownership ensuring value realization.
  • Define the strategy for integrating/combining systems by providing a technology perspective, influencing, and ensuring alignment of IT strategy with business strategy within the sub-function or region.
  • Drives technology and business process innovation within assigned business area(s) to enable front line competitive position and manages a portfolio of services to address business needs within a sub-function or region.
  • Manages a team for research and investigation of potential solutions to help anticipate the business needs and communicates solution recommendations that support business requirements to business partners.
  • Manage a team for identifying, assessing, and promoting the use of new technologies for increased productivity or new capabilities for the business.

  • Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited college or university and 10+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in a position of leadership to include team development and management or managing processes and projects, required.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in an IT project leadership role with specific emphasis on IT governance functions and working with in a PMO framework.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience implementing and/or supporting Workday or other large enterprise human capital management systems, strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience implementing and/or supporting enterprise time and attendance systems, preferred
  • Ability to lead and manage under conditions of ambiguity and uncertainty. Proven organizational skills in working across organizational boundaries and reporting lines
  • ability to work in a matrix environment as required.
  • Demonstrated discipline, analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to details.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and prioritize IT projects according to business benefit.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively communicate with peers and executive leadership.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, including facilitating change, driving operational excellence, and striving for continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Management responsibility for Business Analyst(s) assigned to the functional area
  • May have management responsibility for IT Delivery leads over other functional areas
  • Provides leadership and guidance to employees within IT.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and assisting in providing appropriate resolutions.
