Job Summary: The New Dealer Specialist is responsible for creating a successful Generac dealer base by increasing second order revenue and nurturing new dealers through the new dealer orientation process. The focus is to grow a portfolio of repeat customers and support the new dealer process between Dealer Acquisition and Inside Sales.
•Onboard new dealers, ensuring they are familiar with tools and resources available to them.
•Engage, develop, and nurture relationships with new dealers via phone and by email.
•Demonstrate thorough knowledge of dealer programs along with the resources available and how dealers can grow their business with Generac.
•Help new dealers with goal setting based on generator experience and % of business.
•Promote new partner participation in channel programs
•Educate dealers on the benefit of being an authorized sales dealer and the benefits of adding service to their dealership (if not already participating).
•Answer detailed questions regarding Generac products and programs.
•Utilize various sales skills to cross-sell a variety of complex products with ability to explain the value add of all Generac family products.
•Successfully transition new dealers to their Inside Sales Representative at the 4-month mark by working with both the dealer and ISR to coordinate.
•Identify potential reasons for new dealers not placing a second order and communicate strategic plan for when ISR takes over relationship.
•Add concise notes in CRM to document conversations and progress with new dealer partners.
•Employ field sales team as needed to aid in the growth and development of new accounts.
•High School Diploma or equivalent
•2 years of sales or customer service experience
•Previous experience using SAP or equivalent ERP.

•Ability to accurately type while on the phone with customers;
•Ability to work independently and make decisions in the best interest of the customer and the company

•Demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness
•Strong problem-solving skills
•Flexibility with schedule to account for business coverage and additional hours during storm response.
•Ability to present information to a variety of audiences
•Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job include are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel (up to 5%) may be required.
