Job Title: Low Voltage Sytems Estimator

Job Summary: Advanced Systems Group a division of Shambaugh & Son is seeking a low Voltage Systems Estimator. In this position you will be responsible for bid spec estimating and direct architect/engineer and customer interaction, support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify potential bid opportunities via use of planrooms
  • Review specifications and drawings, fully understanding project requirements
  • Perform takeoffs and create material lists resulting in complete estimate
  • Generate request for information and submit to architect
  • Identify potential bidders and coordinate as required
  • Determine post bid status by soliciting feedback
  • Support the field and project managers with job requirements as needed
  • Meet with new and existing clients, providing full design and estimates, resulting in formal proposal
  • Timely completion and processing of required paperwork
  • Other duties assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of low voltage experience
  • BICSI RCDD certification preferred or willingness to obtain credential
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Interest in Low Voltage Systems ad design
  • Effective written and oral communication
