Job Title: HVAC Service Manager
Job Summary:

EMCOR Facilities Services is seeking a HVAC Service Manager in the Chesapeake VA area. We will consider candidates working from other locations.

Under general supervision of Facilities Manager, provides technical HVAC support and expertise to assigned customer. Conducts telephonic and electronic follow up and closing functions for open work orders on assigned accounts in order to meet the contractual obligations of the client. Intent is to ensure work orders are completed on time. This position will primarily involve handling customer communications on HVAC-related work orders. Communications include but are not limited to keeping customers informed of work being performed at their location, providing updates to customers, and handling escalations. This position is the main point of contact for designated customers. Capabilities to understand and review HVAC quotes.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Defines, implements, assesses, and acts upon quote requests for projects related to commercial facility remodels and retrofits (lighting remodels, HVAC retrofits, etc.) from initial request to client submission/approval. Communicates to internal/external stakeholders, such as District/Regional Store Manager(s), Contractors, and/or Operations Department on quote statuses. Reviews and analyzes contract accuracy of quotes based on service providers contracted rates or historical data of reasonable and customary information. Identifies areas of concerns and risks. Creates, presents, and enacts possible solutions. Identifies potential scope of work that can be "value engineered" to provide additional cost savings to customer.

  • Provide technical direction and support to EMCOR Field Organization and subcontractors to ensure timely completion of all HVAC-related work orders. Ensures service providers questions/issues are resolved in a timely manner and meets or exceeds client's expectations.
  • Respond to requests for maintenance and repair of facilities to include heat ventilation and air conditioning, Security Components, IT equipment, emergency situations affecting the facilities, Etc.
  • Maintain effective communications with employees, management, EFO/contractors, and customers as operations are 24/7. Resolves client high priority escalations immediately. Proactively involves any additional parties needed to eliminate further delay in ticket resolution.
  • Leverages decision frameworks and exercises sound judgment. Continuously generates new ideas to gain operational efficiencies by being adaptable and flexible to multiple, diverse and changing demands. Acts with integrity and authenticity. Encourages others to act similarly. Sets an example for others.
  • Provide accurate reporting on open work orders for supervisor review as requested.
  • Document all work order related correspondence with customers and EFO/service providers to ensure files and work order history are always up to date and complete.
  • Will attend all required staff meetings and complete all required safety training.

    Qualifications:

    • Associates Degree or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC maintenance and management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Bi-lingual English-Spanish preferred.
    • Advanced proficiency in MS Windows Applications, including MS Excel and Word. Must be able to Type min 50 wpm and have good writing skills.
    • Ability to work remotely
    • Travel required, up to 25%.
    Physical Demands:
    Desk position with computer/monitors in a well-maintained office facility. Remote working will be an essential skill that one must have. Travel required, up to 25%.
