Goldschmitt and Associates is seeking an experienced FOIA Analyst. All Goldschmitt employees are required to be fully vaccinated or have an approved exemption.

The FOIA Analyst shall have knowledge of the FOIA, and experience with processing complex FOIA requests for a federal agency. With limited supervision, the FOIA Analyst shall review, organize, and analyze documents for production in response to FOIA requests, including determining responsive records, identifying confidential business information, intra-agency, pre-decisional and deliberative information or attorney work product and personally identifying information.

The FOIA Analyst must have a Bachelor's Degree and at least five (5) years of technical experience in processing complex information requests under the FOIA. Additionally, the FOIA Analyst should have the following skills:

  • Strong research and analytical skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with individuals at all organizational levels;
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks within specified deadlines;
  • Proficiency in managing and processing FOIA requests in the FOIAXpress software system;
  • Working knowledge of personal computers and software (Microsoft Word and Adobe); and
  • Knowledge of the FOIA, its procedural requirements and application of FOIA Exemptions.
