What you will be responsible for:We are seeking ambitious, quick-learners, who are looking to establish a career in investment management. As an Inbound Sales Representative, you are the first level of response for financial advisor inquiries. You will play a key role in building our sales pipeline by engaging with advisors, displaying extensive knowledge of the market and MFS products. Our Inbound Sales team take calls from financial advisors who currently or are interested in, recommending MFS funds. The successful candidate is a self-starter, with a positive phone presence, has a team-player mentality and is eager to learn. We provide on-going training, deliver constant feedback and coaching to aid you in developing your knowledge and skills. MFS offers exceptional opportunities for growth and advancement.PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responds to telephone inquiries regarding information on investment updates utilizing various internal resources to keep abreast of the stock and bond market outlooks, portfolio strategies and legislative changes.
  • Ability to leverage the Morningstar analytical tool to run hypotheticals, fund vs fund comparisons, Investment Growth, Investment Details, Stock Intersection Rolling Return, and Correlation Reports and interpret and convey information to advisors in a manner that is compliant with FINRA and MFS standards.
  • Creates sales leads for all distributions channels by providing information on MFS while engaging the advisor with appropriate questions to uncover more sales opportunities.
  • In-depth knowledge of Independent and Wirehouse firms including advisor structure, appropriate materials, platforms and ideas that align with home office directed themes.
  • Strong understanding of portfolio construction, MFS products, and ability to explain over/under performance as it relates to over/underweight of sectors, industries, and basic attribution analysis.
  • Creates sales leads for all distributions channels by providing information on MFS while engaging the advisor with appropriate questions to uncover more sales opportunities.
  • Assists with backup support in absence of internal wholesaler includes making thank you calls, assisting with service matters, new products and various related external wholesaler tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required.
  • Position requires FINRA Series 63 and FINRA Series 6, which must be obtained promptly after hire in accordance with MFS' licensing policy.
  • Demonstrated initiative in assuming additional responsibilities in current/prior roles.
  • Demonstrated team player.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated to learn complex topics and articulate in simple terms to our clients.
