Job Title: Service Branch Manager - Southfield, Michigan

We are one of the largest specialty contractors in the U.S. EMCOR Services Shambaugh ("ESS") is the service division of Shambaugh & Son. ESS provides HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical and Building Automation Services across Michigan. ESS is one of seven branches providing services with over 100+ service vehicles. ESS capabilities include 24/7/365 reactive service, chiller services, boiler services and project installation.

Job Summary: This position will be responsible for developing a strong service presence in the service business local market. In addition to service, the branch is looking to extend our Schneider Electric Building Automation into the SE Michigan market. By driving growth across all segments of the market while meeting profitability targets and sustaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Increase company share in the local market that will contribute to establishing company leadership and sustain business growth
  • Develop and execute short and long-term branch business plans
  • Produce accurate forecasts for branch financial objectives
  • Manage Branch assets (people, financial and material) in a manner that meets or exceeds profitability goals
  • Continue to grow the Branch service group in both revenue and employees
  • Lead Branch efforts to identify, secure and retain customers by establishing relationships that enhance the local reputation of the company and the Branch; and ensuring maintenance and project growth
  • Drive account management principles and assess potential customers and opportunities
  • Build a Branch climate that energizes team members to provide high quality, cost efficient, customer-directed service and exceed Branch performance targets
  • Act and manage the Branch with honesty and integrity, following the highest ethical standards; comply with all local, state and Federal regulations
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Assists Project Managers and monitors subcontractors, as needed
  • Assists change order preparations, plan checking, document control, quality control and safety monitoring
  • Lead training requirements for the branch for employee enrichment and leading-edge service knowledge
  • Assist with monitoring and maintaining Maintenance Agreements
  • Lead the Maintenance Sales team to grow service maintenance base
  • Assist with agreement and project reporting of financial, labor and costing

Qualifications:

  • College degree or equivalent industry experience with 3-5 years of management experience
  • Experience working for a contractor in the service, mechanical or building automation fields is a plus
  • Ability to work both independently or in a team environment
  • Small amount of travel is expected with this position, short duration determined as required
  • Computer literate with MS Office product offerings including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, in both written and oral work
