The Opportunity

Networking, Automotive, and Switch Product Engineering Group.

Job Responsibilities:

As a Product Engineer (Network and Connectivity) at Marvell, you will manage a diverse portfolio of projects from Marvell's Networking product line and lead cross-functional teams. This is an opportunity to be a key stakeholder and decision-maker; this role will build and strengthen your leadership skills and
confidence. You will be involved throughout the entirety of a product's life cycle, enabling you to establish a holistic, high-level perspective of the process that will give you an edge both in problem-solving and decision-making scenarios. Additionally, this will present you with the ability to learn and build knowledge
in all the different engineering disciplines involved - you are limited only by curiosity and drive to learn.

Product Engineers (Network and Connectivity) at Marvell are key stakeholders and decision-makers that work to ensure a product...

  • ...is cost-effective, cost-efficient, testable, and manufacturable.
  • ...has competitive Time-to-Market (TTM).
  • ...conforms to high-quality reliability standards and customer requirements.
  • ...has strong engineering sustaining support up-to EOL (e.g. RMA's).

Day-to-day responsibilities of a Product Engineer (Network and Connectivity) at Marvell includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Yield analysis and improvement planning
  • Product qualification and reliability testing
  • Characterization and statistical process control analysis
  • Test support planning and coordination
  • Production transfer coordination and planning w/ global teams
  • Evaluation and driving resolution of customer RMA's
  • Leading cross-functional teams to timely, high-quality completion of NPI, especially for Operations Engineering related activities

Higher role levels are responsible for projects of greater complexity, mentoring other engineers in their domain expertise, and serve as technical consultants for cross-project issues.


Applicants pursuing a role level of Principal Product Engineer (Network and Connectivity) will be expected to work with management as a technical authority for assessing future concepts, guiding strategic initiatives, and solving critical project activities.

Requirements:

This opportunity offers potential role level as either: Staff, Senior Staff, or Principal.
Requirements outlined below are for the Staff role level and applicants aiming for a higher role level are expected to demonstrate significant mastery over subjects listed and fulfill a greater number of aspects noted as preferred or a plus.

As a Staff level Product Engineer (Network and Connectivity), you are expected to have:

  • IC-level NPI related professional work experience, preferably as a Product Engineer and/or with Data Communication products/designs.
  • At minimum, either a BSEE (or related field) and 5 years of professional work experience OR a MSEE (or related field) and 3 years of professional work experience as described above.
  • Adept understanding of the NPI process, especially within the context of Operations Engineering.
  • Solid grasp of applied statistics in engineering and process control.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate through multi-faceted problems, both technical and non-technical.
  • Working experience with ATE apparatus and software (ex: Agilent 93K).
  • High-level proficiency with documentation software and tools such as Excel to produce high-quality presentations and complex data analytics reports.
