Provide risk program support of ongoing regulatory requirements of a first line of defense credit function. Responsible and Accountable for Risk Program actions and quality assurance testing of programs.

The role is responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.


  • Works under direction of Program Manager to develop and administer first line of defense Wholesale Credit Administration Programs
  • Maintain broad working knowledge of commercial lending functions and supporting risk processes
  • Functional knowledge of commercial credit policies and procedures
  • Supports Wholesale Credit Program administration reporting needs and data collection functions that allow 1st LOD to adhere to regulatory requirements (ie: 1st line self-governing monitoring functions)
  • Perform and support program quality assurance testing for risk rating models for the commercial bank portfolios
  • Perform and support system user testing in support of risk rating models for the commercial bank portfolios
  • Provide user feedback and maintains user escalation logs in support of risk rating models that translate user needs and modeling structures to technology and data functions to support implementation and production
  • Support Wholesale Credit communication and response functions: PDLGD Support and Wholesale Credit Administration
  • Develops presentations and analysis and leverages analysis to provide insight
  • Maintain broad working knowledge of commercial lending functions and supporting risk processes
  • Identifies and develops self-directed advanced learning opportunities

In addition to the above: must be able to function without oversight and can lead, mentor, coach, train junior members and provide feedback to program improvements to management- also able to work in greater program complexity.



  • 3-5 years of experience in Commercial Banking/ Risk Management
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting, or equivalent education and related training
  • General understating of commercial credit functions
  • Potential for future growth within the commercial line of business with leadership potential
  • Ability to lead program development with minimal input when appropriate to skillset
  • Working knowledge of CCAS/ nCino/ DRM/ MS Teams and SharePoint
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
  • Work with appropriate partners to maintain Risk Model User Guides
  • Triage feedback on DRM models from users and escalate as appropriate to management
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a broad range of functional experts (technology, quantitative analysts, credit, audit, HR, Learning, change management, regulators...) and has had experience working with large scale technology efforts

In addition to the above- this role requires more experience within the commercial bank and has proven leadership and growth potential- would also have the ability to lead and develop junior talent. Recommend and initiate program improvements. Support related IT Projects.
