Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Installs, maintains, tests, troubleshoots, repairs, operates, modifies, optimizes and calibrates highly complex systems of electronics, DDC and pneumatic control front end devices, control components and sensors related to facilities HVAC systems.
  • Performs pretest and operational (functional) testing, alignment; and/or calibration of highly complex pneumatic, electronic and DDC systems, front end devices, components, and /or subassemblies.
  • Replaces, repairs, adjusts, configures, and /or modifies pneumatic, electronic and DDC industrial control systems, front end devices, components, and/or subassemblies.
  • Downloads and uploads programming to replacement devices/controllers/components
  • Performs preventative maintenance on electronic, pneumatic and DDC systems to include disassembly, cleaning, reassembly and calibration.
  • Utilizes safety and security practices and procedures following established rules and regulations and maintains a safe, clean and secure work environment.
  • Install, troubleshoot and program electronic security systems such as Honeywell Vindicator IDS, ACS, VCC Honeywell and various CCTV equipment installation troubleshooting and programming.
  • Ensures all licensing and software updates are current.
  • Performs minor devise installation, maintenance and repair of fire alarm system. Knowledgeable at diagnosing and solving fire alarm issues.

Educational/Training Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years commercial/industrial experience is required.
  • Must demonstrate the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities gained through training and/or experience to perform the duties described above.
  • Must have experience in Ethernet Network setup and configuration.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience with Windows serves required.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Must have strong communication skills.
  • Must be a current US Citizen.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must possess or be capable of obtaining a secret clearance.

Supervision:

  • Works under the general supervision of the LRDR O&M.

Work Environment:

  • Exerts limited physical energy. May have to handle 20-30-pound loads on occasion.
  • Computing center environment. May work extended hours or weekends. May travel overnight or on weekends. Support the system via "on call" when outside of normal working hours.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to correctly lift 50 Lbs.
  • Travel may be required to attend training.
