This is a specially funded assignment that is anticipated to be renewed annually on 10/01 until the end of the grant award period. Renewal is contingent upon the funding from the U.S. Department of Education and is approved until 09/30/2024.

Job Summary
The Center for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Instructional Services Coordinator is responsible for collaborative and independent work in fulfillment of the Center's mission. This position provides student service program support, and operates independently to complete mission-critical tasks.

Essential Functions
50%- Coordinates with planning, implementation and evaluation of GANAS: GateWay's Latinx/a/o Leadership Institute, including: recruit mentors in target fields of interest through external outreach and networking, develop language and concepts for promotional materials soliciting student and mentor applications, conduct intake interviews with mentors and students, match students with mentors based on interview and application contents, coordinates monthly cohort workshop content and logistics with internal and external partner presenters/facilitators, communicate timely updates and requests for information with student participants, maintains and updates GANAS Canvas page with session materials, maintain relevant records for tracking participation, attendance, and program task completion, identifies and updates program curriculum with recommendations for continuous improvement based on evaluation data.

30% -Completes special projects based on specific program needs with limited guidance, such as:
  • Researching and designing monthly informational displays
  • Drafting DEI Center space and resource guides
  • Piloting new DEI events, education campaigns or programs for potential inclusion in future calendar cycles

10%- Coordinates the annual cycle of planning, delivering, evaluating, and improving workshops and events focused on student engagement around topics in DEI and assists with preparing, administering and collecting program evaluations and assessments, including follow-up communication to increase survey completion rates.

10%- Provides event staffing support at all DEI Center programs and collaborations with internal and external partners; serves as a functional member of the Social Justice & Equity Alliance; promotes the DEI Center events, opportunities, and resources at resource fairs and other college events, and performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in a related program area, and one (1) year of program coordination experience.


Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited institution and three (3) years of program coordination experience.


High school diploma or GED and five (5) years of years oprogram coordination experience.

Desired Qualifications
A. One (1) or more years of experience in presenting, training, teaching, group dialogue facilitation, and/or similar experience with public speaking.

B. One (1) or more years of experience in coordinating cohort-based programs, including professional mentorship, leadership development, or other similar personal or professional development programs.

C. One (1) or more years of experience in independent research and development of informational and awareness materials addressing topics in diversity, equity and inclusion, such educational displays, presentations, resource guides, social media campaigns, etc.

D. Experience working within grant program regulations and policies.

E.Experience in Google suite, Microsoft Office suite, and Canva or similar learning management software
