Verify that all aircraft parts are traceable to a regulated source, OEM, scheduled airline/operator/freight carrier/Certified component Repair Station (FAA, EASA, TC, CAAC) |

Inspects purchased parts, assemblies, accessories, and materials for conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments and devices; Examines items for defects in materials, work, and damage occurring in transit. |
• |
Ensures that all aircraft parts received are not Suspected Unapproved Parts per FAA AC 21-29C. |
• |
Compares quantity and part number of items received with procurement data and other specifications to ensure completeness and accuracy of order. Ensures proper documentation accompanies all parts and materials. |
• |
Ability to perform unaided and dimensional inspections on various parts/devises/components. |
• |
Perform receipt inspections of material for correct certifications/traceability/certificates of conformance. |
• |
Coordinate areas of QC work with other department's work (i.e. receiving, shipping and purchasing). |

Perform test hardness of metals, using testing equipment. |
• |
Working knowledge of Corridor with very little assistance. Enter, verify, and validate the accuracy of data input into corridor and scanned document database. |
• |
Deliver parts and materials to the stockroom. |
• |
Examines product for defects and sorts product according to extent of defect. |
• |
Rejects defective parts, and marks type of defect on part, container of parts, or inspection tag. |
• |
Initiates nonconformance reports through INTELEX. |
• |
Receive PMA parts through our PMA Department. |
• |
Coordinate and update calibrated tools as required with outside vendor, update company data base. |
• |
Update supplier surveys as needed |
• |
All other duties as assigned by management. |
