The Surgical Equipment Repair Specialist I role is to utilize both technical and mechanical skills for the precision repairs of surgical medical instruments.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Inspect, evaluate and test incoming equipment to determine serviceability and repair requirements
  • Disassemble malfunctioning equipment and remove, repair, or replace defective parts
  • Record keeping of maintenance, parts and repairs
  • Perform outbound quality inspections
  • Dependability
  • Prepare instruments for shipping
  • Other tasks as assigned or required

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Some skill with repairs typical of 1-2 years of employment

 

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Ability to sit, stand, lift, bend, and stoop numerous times throughout the day
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
  • Some cost awareness and performance
  • Requires oversight on all repairs
  • Promotes and contributes to teamwork environment
  • Minimal contribution to overall division goals
  • Ability to use grinding wheels, soldering irons, sand blasters, Dremel style tools, torches, and test equipment that will require good hand-eye coordination to execute task
  • Use of digital calipers
  • Requires close and continuous attention to detail and drive for quality
  • Ability and drive to self-motivate and realign priorities quickly
  • Flexibility in work schedule to meet department needs
  • Ability to demonstrate a primary commitment to safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Management System, Agiliti’s Quality Policy, and all other documented quality processes and procedures
  • Strong team player mentality
  • Handle and assemble small parts
