Job Title: Automation Department Manager

Job Summary: The Automation Department Manager will manage productivity, profitability, operating costs, quality, staffing, safety, sales, and associate morale. This position will be responsible to develop sales, prospecting for new accounts and providing clients with product services/information.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Builds and maintains relationship with customers through client meetings, site visits, phone calls, and other channels.
  • Attend new customer kick off meetings.
  • Visit customers and jobsites as necessary to ensure quality service.
  • Complete yearly and quarterly sales projections and budgets.
  • Monitor and manage expenditures within budgets- Sales, Profit. Pursues/generates sales within business segment in accordance with business plan.
  • Develop performance measures for the corporate business.
  • Manage the annual review process with direct reporting associates.
  • Monitor safety incidents and recordables.
  • Conducts quarterly review progress and measurements with the customer. Proactively manage service levels.
  • Troubleshoot facility issues and initiate actions to ensure client/customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure associate growth and development through mentoring and training.
  • Create a safe work environment/safe work practices for EMCOR associates, subcontractors, and client.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly audits of facility for quality and safety.
  • Negotiate between EMCOR associates, vendors, and subcontractors to maintain properties within approved budgets.
  • Performs work order cost review a minimum of once monthly.
  • Prepares work order schedules to meet or exceed goals of client.
  • Review all financial reports,
  • This position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for leadership, performance management and hiring of the employees within its department.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years previous operations management experience, including forecasting, scheduling and real-time operations management.
  • Experience supervising, coaching and developing staff.
  • 2+ years experience in HVAC commercial service or related field.
  • Financial acumen, inclusive of cost modeling for sales proposals.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a good driving record.
