Our Southeast Environmental business is growing and looking for a Senior Environmental Project Manager to lead and support the growth of our environmental services throughout Maryland and Virginia. This role will be based in our Bowie, MD office.

Specific responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Project management and leadership of various environmental projects including maintenance of project scope, schedule, budget and quality through the coordination of project teams and via direct client communication
  • Participate in and lead project teams in the planning, design, and execution environmental compliance, assessment, and remedial programs
  • Support existing GHD clients with the implementation of efficient and innovative solutions to address their environmental liabilities and concerns
  • Identify and support business development, client expansion and proposal development activities for the Southeast Environmental business working with our regional business and market leadership
  • Preparing technical proposals
  • Maintain membership and participation in relevant state and/or national environmental industry groups and associations
  • Mentor and provide leadership to a small group of junior environmental professionals

For success in this position, you will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or a related technical field
  • Professional licensure (PE, PG) a plus
  • At least 12-15 years of environmental project experience including the coordination and management of projects consisting of site investigation, remediation and monitoring and general environmental compliance
  • Experience in client relationship development/management and business development with strong client relationships
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective client presentations and written report preparation
  • Ability to present technical information in a concise and professional manner
  • Valid driver's license with ability and willingness to travel as needed
