Primary Functions:

The primary function of this position is to support the general ledger and accounting close process as well as maintain and produce financial reports for management review. Also, the position will be responsible for all fixed assets (i.e. spending, capital budgets, entry into Fixed Asset software, transfers, disposals, trouble shooting, and procedural upkeep). Another key duty will be working with Operations and IT to ensure the Total Management Systems (TMS) reconcile to our general ledger. Finally, handling and processing of billing needs for various types of receivables in a corporate accounting environment.

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

Broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc. Equivalent to a four year college degree, plus 5 years related experience and/or training, and 1 to 6 months related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Position Responsibilities:

  1. Understand both basic and complex accounting concepts including a solid working knowledge of GAAP.
  2. Month end close process including planning processes, organizing actions and preparing reports to corporate as well as General ledger reconciliation and maintenance.
  3. Maintain and monitor fixed asset module and schedules.
  4. Produce, calculate and confirm appropriateness and consistency of journal entries.
  5. Perform routine system maintenance including chart of accounts and cost center management.
  6. Assist with Regional Directors and Team Leaders preparing monthly accruals and Post P&L action items.
  7. Prepare balance sheet and monthly P&L statements.
  8. Assist in identifying and resolving accounting and internal control issues as well as review, investigate and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents and reports.
  9. Report daily cash position to management.
  10. Monitor Receivables and Unbilled and report, accordingly
  11. Run & send daily/weekly reports for certain vendors/customers
  12. Set up project codes in Concur and review/process employee expense reports in Concur, in adherence to company T&E policy
  13. Identify and recommend process improvements as necessary.
