What you will be doing:

  • Steelcase is looking to hire a Subject Matter Expert for our global benefits team! You'll be the lead corporate benefits liaison for all businesses outside the U.S. and have oversight of our global operating model.
  • Your responsibilities may include the following:
  • Leading the Steelcase global operating model, providing stewardship and governance of programs globally
  • Partnering with local country HR or business leads in analyzing current programs, developing strategy and proposals, and managing renewal processes
  • Driving execution of global benefit and wellbeing projects, including support on M&A due diligence, international benefit policies, etc.
  • Developing subject matter expertise on international benefit practices and compliance
  • Keeping up-to-date on benefit trends
  • Providing benefits support for expatriate programs
  • Maintaining relationships with global brokers and consulting partners
  • Working within a complex matrix-management structure

  • You are strong in project management, analysis, and change management.
  • You're an effective communicator (oral and written) who is confident building positive relationships and working relationships with businesses, and communicating at all levels of the organization and across different cultures
  • Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills
  • Highly ambitious and results oriented
  • Self-starter able to work independently
  • Flexibility to work across different time zones

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3 years of benefits experience
  • Experience working with international benefits is preferred but not required
  • Consulting experience a plus
  • Experience performing benefit plan benchmarking & cost analysis, handling insurance renewals, and conveying technical information & recommendations to management
  • Established track record of managing projects & processes
  • Experience performing research and technical analysis, and building financial business case for benefit proposals

Your Future Team:

You will partner with HR, mobility, and business leads outside of the US, along with outside brokers and consultants. You'll report to the Director - Benefits. This is an individual contributor role.
