As Manager, Corporate Accounting at CareDx, you will lead a growing global accounting team and be responsible for all accounting aspects of the company's largest legal entity. You will play a critical role in driving finance transformation initiatives, implementing new technology to improve business efficiencies, and ensuring SOX compliance. In addition, you will manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, coordinate and lead quarterly and annual audits, and prepare financial statements, operating metrics, and flux analyses. This position reports to the Sr. Director and is located in Brisbane, California.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage aspects of the local accounting organization, providing direction and guidance to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
  • Perform month and quarter-end close tasks associated with revenue recognition, perform the review and the reconciliation between different systems, including review of the billings process, conformance with SOX Policies and ASC 606, etc.
  • Validate the deferred revenue, and review/preparation of revenue journal entries from the revenue analysis, as required.
  • Prepare and review quarterly revenue schedules and disclosures for internal and external reporting.
  • Drive finance transformation initiatives, including implementation of new tools and validating system improvements. Create, implement, and maintain processes and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements, including the development and documentation of controls surrounding new processes, performance of controls owned by Accounting and maintain effective internal control processes
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support the annual external audit process and manage auditor relationships
  • Have passion to work with data mining project
  • The ability to work independently and be self-managing
  • Assist in ad hoc/special projects, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Level will be based on education and years of experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA required
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting, including at least 2 years in a publicly traded company ideally in a global environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, and experience with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance
  • Deep knowledge and application of US GAAP, SEC and SOX404 regulations and guidelines
  • Ability to lead and develop a team of accounting professionals, manage organizational cash flow, and complete special projects as necessary
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively present to and engage with a wide range of internal and external audiences, including external audit firm, external law firm, regulators, and key internal decision makers
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with good decision-making skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with NetSuite and advanced Excel skills
