The EMR Project Manager's primary responsibility is to perform project management tasks for CareDx clients who are actively integrating orders and results interfaces. The EMR Project Manager will collaborate with stakeholders internally and externally to optimize technology and clinical workflows to support transplant patients. This resource will support the complete lifecycle for EMR integration projects in compliance with current corporate directives and will report to the Director of EMR Integration. This role is integral to the success of the overall EMR integration team.


Responsibilities:

  • Client's point of contact for all project-related needs.
  • Facilitate all phases of project from kickoff to go live and transition to support, while managing project plan and driving deliverables based off timelines identified.
  • Facilitating workflow discovery and analysis discussions with technical and clinical staff, externally and internally.
  • Ability to discuss clinical documentation workflows, clinical ordering workflows, and lab workflows.
  • Create and maintain required project documentation for multiple assigned integration projects, to include SOPs, project plans, meeting notes, issues and turnover to support documentation.
  • Create and perform functional and integration testing plans for software to support the transplant lab testing products.
  • Ability to validate HL7 messages through connectivity engine, internal systems and coordinate resulting tests while working with clients and third-party vendors on issue resolution.
  • Provide go live support to EMR Integration clients by assisting with HL7 message review for orders and results and troubleshooting technical issues for the first 30 days of go-live.
  • Provide initiative and experience for internal corporate initiatives in addition to integration projects.
  • Ability to work and collaborate as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Possibility for some travel.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree or applicable work experience running projects in healthcare systems or the healthcare technology vendor space
  • 5+ years of experience in program or project management (Biotechnology/molecular diagnostic field is a plus)
  • Experience working with large EMR systems (including Epic, Cerner, etc) preferred.
  • Functional Knowledge of HL7 and/or interfaces, data feeds, clinical workflows
  • Experience with LIMS systems
  • Familiarity with Laboratory operations
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint expertise.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and debugging skills.
  • Demonstrated time management and prioritization skills with proven ability to balance multiple priorities.
  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, positive attitude, team player.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP certification and or other applicable certification in EMR systems.
  • Epic certification(s) in Bridges, Beaker, Orders a plus.
